MEET COACH VAHE
Vahe has been passionate about basketball since he was 10 years old, playing at a representative level throughout his junior years and later at a collegiate level.
After years in the sport, he noticed a gap. There were plenty of pathways for elite players… But very few programs focused on introducing kids to basketball in a positive, supportive and development-focused environment from the very beginning.
Too often, junior basketball felt overcrowded, disconnected, or overly focused on competition before kids had the chance to truly enjoy the game.
So VWARRIOR was created to offer something different.
Structured, rep-style development at the social level. Where kids train and play together all season, build real friendships, grow in confidence, and develop a genuine love for the game.
All without the pressure, politics or intensity that can sometimes take the fun out of junior sport.

My child is a complete beginner. Is that okay?
Absolutely. Beginners are welcome and supported in a positive learning environment.
What makes this different from other local clubs?
VWARRIOR is Northern Sydney's #1 premium social basketball academy. Most local clubs only play games together weekly. VWARRIOR teams also train together consistently throughout the season, creating stronger development and team connection.
What age groups are available?
We welcome boys and girls in the following age groups:
• U10’s — for players born in 2017–2018
• U12’s — for players born in 2015–2016
• U13’s — for players born in 2014
When is the season?
September 5 - December 12
Registrations close July 31st!
What is the time commitment?
Players will train once a week (day/time varies depending on team) and play once a week on Saturday mornings.
Where is training held?
North Sydney Indoor Sports Centre or Galuwa Recreation Centre.
Where are games played?
Games can be held at the following locations:
o North Sydney Indoor Sports Centre
o Galuwa Recreation Centre
o North Sydney Boys High School
o Redlands Dunnet Hall
o Willoughby Leisure Centre
